I’ll save you some time. This job currently has no budget. Zero. Zip. Nada. Just feelings and good vibes.
I get it. You and your skills have value, and good vibes don’t pay the bills. If you’re not up for working on spec, volunteering, or a “maybe this will make money,” thanks for checking this out anyway, and good luck.
What is Paliku Farms?
It’s a multi-headed media project, covering gaming, media, streaming, and production tooling.
Who runs Paliku Farms?
One unemployed guy and a bunch of burnt tokens.
What do the Farm and Co-Op need?
We’ve been doing a lot (well, that one guy has), and while progress is being made slowly on all fronts, there’s a lot that needs refinement:
- 3D models that need a human touch
- Rigging and animation
- Creative comedic story writers
- GenAI artists
- GenAI developers
- Media editors (NLE and/or audio)
- Gameplay engineers
Why does this exist, and why should I work for free?
This exists because after almost three years unemployed, underemployed, and frankly burnt out from job applications and interviews, I decided I needed to put it on the line and make my own work.
I know there are others out there in the same situation:
- Talented people looking for purpose
- People who want to keep their skills sharp between job applications
- Newcomers to media and entertainment building a portfolio
- Veterans who’ve recently been laid off
Whatever your situation and skill level, we can likely make room for you.
Who owns the work I contribute?
Honestly, that’s entirely up for negotiation. Some of it may be through credit, some of it may be code sharing. I don’t have a good answer here; it’s negotiable on a case-by-case basis.
